Nate Kavanaugh Receives $2,000 Grant from Catholic United Financial

by Gabby Barton, Marketing Specialist

At Catholic United Financial, we have a long history of supporting future Catholic leaders. On August 22, 2024, we had the privilege of putting these values into action as we awarded a $2,000 grant to one of those future leaders, Nathan Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh is a 21-year-old from Coon Rapids, MN and is beginning his freshman year at the St. John Vianney Seminary at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

This grant was requested by Kendra Turner, a Catholic United Financial Member Advisor since 2015 and a leader on our sales team. Turner took advantage of our hiring referral bonus program by referring a new potential hire to the sales team member of Catholic United Financial. As a result of her successful referral, Kendra was given the option to receive $1,000 referral bonus or make a $2,000 contribution to a Catholic parish or school of her choosing. Kendra chose to direct the money to support Kavanaugh’s seminary studies, who is also her godchild.

Gary Maki, Director of Human Resources, said, “We are incredibly proud to support Nathan Kavanaugh as he begins this new chapter in his life, and we are grateful to Kendra for her generosity and commitment to our values. It’s moments like these that highlight the difference we can make together.”
