Catholic United Response will be joining the Cannon Falls Police Department for a coordinated volunteer cleanup taking place Saturday, Sept. 29th to help address damage done by a severe storm that occurred the week prior.
Volunteers are asked to help from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29, with lunch provided to cleanup volunteers. Catholic United volunteers can come to the Catholic United Response Truck and Trailer to receive personal protective equipment and tools.
Volunteers should check-in at the Check-in/Food site, in the Park and Ride Lot located at the 621 Main St. W (address can be used in GPS), between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Catholic United Response Truck and Trailer will be located in the Park and Ride lot. The city has created work zones and arranged for additional trucks and chippers to make brush clean up more efficient. The Salvation Army will be setting up a canteen to provide lunch for checked-in volunteers.
