We've given out $430,000 in grants from our Priority Fund in the past decade to more than 800 Catholic schools and parishes.
These grants provide dollars to two particular areas of need in the developing lives of children and young adults. Grants are made possible by the faithful giving of Foundation donors, and through the fundraising efforts of our annual golf tournament.
To be eligible for a Foundation grant, the school or parish must be located where Catholic United Financial has a major presence: within the five state areas of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North and South Dakota.
Grants for Parishes and Schools
Grants are available to people and organizations within the guidelines specified below. They are provided to Catholic schools and religious education programs to support these two specific areas:
Hardware and software that benefit the student population in elementary grades. Click here to apply.
Chastity and Abstinence Education
Programs, events, curriculum or other media that offer education to youth in a collaboration with other parishes, youth groups, schools, regional and/or diocesan wide efforts. Click here to apply.
Grants are distributed semi-annually. Contribution decisions are made after Oct. 1 and Feb. 1 each year by the Foundation Board of Directors, which includes the president and senior vice president of Catholic United Financial.
Grants for Seminarians
The Schuler Seminarian Fund gives grants once a year to seminarians studying for the priesthood.
