In our complicated and fast-paced lives, it is often difficult to believe that we, individually, have the power to deeply affect the world around us. However, we can have a profound effect by working together.
Catholic United Financial Foundation was founded in December of 1997 by to provide members of Catholic United Financial with faith-honoring options for their charitable giving.
The Foundation partners with donors in four specific programs.
1. Priority Fund
Catholic Education Priority Fund The Foundation’s main fund supplies dollars to our grant-making efforts to Catholic schools in the Upper Midwest, specifically in the areas of education technology and chastity and abstinence education. One hundred percent of every dollar donated to the fund is used for grants to the Catholic community.
2. Catholic United Response
Our disaster recovery project is designed to provide assistance with emergency supplies for personal hygiene, cleanup, comfort and supplies for those victims whose homes have been destroyed. When communities are ready for cleanup and rebuilding, we will be there with equipment and tools necessary to help with recovery. Click here to read more.
3. Schuler Seminarian Fund
The Monsignor Schuler Seminarian Fund provides grants to seminarians to help them with their everyday expenses as they serve and study for the priesthood. Since it is nearly impossible for seminarians to earn an income while in school, a grant from the Fund may provide much needed financial support to the future leaders of our faith.
4. Charitable Giving
Catholic United Financial Foundation allows you to take advantage of the tax savings available through charitable giving while, more importantly, you continue to support the Catholic Church. Today, everyone should consider the benefits of an estate plan, and planned charitable giving is an essential part of any estate plan. Using the resources provided by Catholic United, the Foundation can help you plan for your future and support the Church at the same time.

Donor Restricted Funds
Donors identify a specific area of concern to be addressed with the proceeds from their donation. A written agreement details the criteria to be used by the Foundation for the distribution of the fund’s proceeds.
